Here are two self portraits that are fundamentally the same. The second was inspired by the first and the first was inspired by the fact that I always seem to put off a haircut until I can no longer see.
The former was done with Sumi-e ink and brushes, the latter with acrylics and Sumi-e ink.
Japanese characters supplied by the all-knowing internet. And for all I know, I just called myself a dung beetle.

reminds me or geraldine georges. you might wanna check her out, she's not really and illustrator, but i found her work to be very inspiring.
