You know, I've come to the realization that Zorro is a lot like Batman. Both are masked vigilantes who dress in black and primarily come out at night. Both men come from a wealthy family and fund all of their expeditions by themselves. Both have trusty manservant sidekicks... The only real difference is the accent.
And maybe the whole parents being murdered and seeking vengeance thing.

I used to watch the original spanish tv show translated in italy back in the 90's :)
